Front Passenger Airbag -Disabled- Indicator Lamp (K145)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

The front passenger airbag disabled indicator lamp is located in the center of the dash panel above the radio.

• Risk of airbag deployment!

• The airbag unit could deploy if mishandled.

• Follow the safety precautions when working on the airbag.

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Place the (VAS 3409) - 1 - under the front passenger airbag disabled indicator lamp - 2 - in the center.

- Hit the (VAS 3409) with the palm of the hand and release the indicator lamp.






- Disconnect the connector - arrow - and remove the indicator lamp - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
