Fig. 5 Checking for short circuit:

1. Connect dwell meter to system test connection.
2. If dwell reading is not 49-59° or above 68°, replace electronic control module.
3. With ignition switch in ``Off'' position, disconnect electrical connector at electronic control module.
4. Connect ohmmeter between terminals 2 and 4, Fig. 5. If ohmmeter indicates approximately zero ohms, check wiring and repair as necessary. If ohmmeter indicates infinite ohms, replace electronic control module.
5. Connect electrical connector at control module and disconnect dwell meter.
6. Perform ``System Test.''
