A reinforced water pump pulley was introduced as a running production change at engine number 63364 in January 1984. This modified part is also available from Volvo Parts Distribution Center under Part number 1269941-9. As the mounting flange is 2 mm (0.078") thicker, in some cases, it may be necessary to use longer studs P/N 1266775-4.
The reinforcement consists of an extra cup section on the inside of the pulley and there is a blue marking on the initial supplies for identification purposes.
