Radio interference with EQ-611 or CD-401

In some cases, the mounting bolt (arrow) on the left-hand side of the EQ-611 or CD-401 unit can come in contact with the cigarette lighter socket, producing an inadvertent ground connection and causing radio interference in the form of a whining noise from the alternator or crackling from the ignition system.

If this type of radio interference occurs, replace the existing bolt with p/n 616000-6, which has a thinner head and will not touch the cigarette lighter socket.
