A new type of O-ring has been introduced after the following chassis numbers:
244 364166
245 831159
The O-rings are made of a new material and are designed for a longer service life. These rings are easily recognized by their blue color.
In the event of an A/C System malfunction which results from a main component failure (A/C Hose, Compressor, etc.) inspection of the accompanying A/C "O" Rings to that component should be made. If the "O" Rings are of the old (black in color), replacement of all remaining "O" Rings to the new style (blue in color) should be performed. the attached identifies all original locations.
Note! O-rings must be well lubricated before assembly.
- If necessary, replace Schraeder valve at the compressor (see SB 87-202)

Warranty claims may be submitted utilizing the above part numbers and following operation number for all additional "O" ring replacement.

NOTE: This operation may be used only 1 time under warranty. Operations for the failed component, receiver dryer replacement and evacuate and recharge should be included on the claim.
