Malfunction Test 6

1. If dwell reading is not as specified in step 8 of ``System Test,'' proceed to Malfunction Test specified according to existing condition as follows:
a. If reading is unchanged, perform ``Malfunction Test 7.''
b. If reading is below 23°, perform ``Malfunction Test 8.''
c. If reading is above 68°, perform ``Malfunction Test 9.''
d. If dwell reading changes as described, but CO is not below 1%, oxygen sensor is correctly mounted, and there are no leaks in the exhaust manifold close to sensor, increase engine speed to 1500 RPM. If CO does not drop, there is a mechanical problem in continuous injection system.
2. Perform ``System Test.''
