Only replace O-rings in the event of distributor oil leakage.
Oil leakage from the distributor on engines with a camshaft-mounted distributor usually originates at the distributor shaft O-rings. High engine temperatures can cause these O-rings to shrink.
To rectify the problem, replace the O-rings with new type.
REQUIRED PARTS: Description Part No. Quantity
O-ring 969330-0 1
O-ring 969331-8 1
The new O-rings were put into production in January, 1988, and are made from an improved quality rubber.
Installing a new distributor for oil leakage is not acceptable for warranty or customer-paid repairs.
