Checking The Basics
Before carrying out a fault diagnosis of LH-Jetronic system, check the following:

Mechanical
- Compression
- Valve clearance
- Vacuum hoses and connections
- Throttle control
- Air filter

Electrical
- Spark plugs and leads
- Distributor cap
- Electrical connections

Emission control
- Crankcase ventilation
- Evaporative system

If, after checking the above items the engine still malfunctions, proceed through the fuel system testing.
