THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA.
An intermittent no-cranking condition experienced only during extremely high ambient temperatures may be caused by excessive resistance in the starting circuit between the ignition switch and starter terminal #50. To prevent further intermittent no-cranking, install a relay in the starting circuit as shown in diagrams below.

- remove latch from panel
- remove inner panel from trunk
- cut new notch in panel 180~ opposite from original notch (see illustration)
If latch has a guide pin (plastic), it must be cut off as shown.
- reinstall latch in panel with tab inserted into the new notch of the inner panel
- reinstall inner panel into trunk
