THIS SERVICE MANAGER BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA.


For the next three months (4-1-86 through 6-30-86), the Product Evaluation Department will require submission of an Electrical Survey Sheet covering all wiring repairs on 1986 M/Y vehicles.

These sheets will enable us to accurately track and report electrical problems that you encounter on 1986 M/Y vehicles. They are also useful for the technician to communicate the exact location of electrical faults/repairs to your warranty clerk for claim preparation.

Attached are Electrical Survey Sheets (2 each for P20/P70) for use as your Master Copies. Please retain these to make copies as your needs dictate.

For each electrical repair fill out one sheet as follows:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORTING SHEET USE.

Use correct sheet P20 or P70. for Technician:

1 ) Fill in VIN
Variant
2) List affected component or components
3) List color of wire for affected circuit.
4) Place an arrow on appropriate diagram at location of problem.
Additional comments can be added: for example, if the wire was damaged by a bolt installation, write 'bolt' next to the arrow. for Warranty Clerk:

1) Fill in warranty claim number on electrical survey sheet
2) When submitting warranty claims, include the respective electrical survey report sheet in same mailing envelope, but do not attach warranty claim.
