New height adjuster for power seats, 900 series

A new type of power seat height adjuster will be introduced during Autumn 1994 Only the new type of height adjuster will be stocked as a spare part in the future.

The new height adjuster has the part number 9136096-6.

On cars with the new height adjuster fitted or on replacement of the old type with the new type note that the attachment screws (PIN 1353514-1) between the adjustment rail and the seat frame are no longer used.

The new type of height adjuster without the rear attachment screws was introduced into production from chassis nos. 944-191234, 945-133349, 964-50559,965-18994.

The front attachment screws were withdrawn during 1988.

Replacing the height adjuster with the new type can minimize rattling and noise from under the seat.

The difference between the two types of adjuster can be seen at the rear tube mounting point on the height adjuster (see illustration).
