Removal Procedure 2 - Later Version

Remove the dash panel molding strip located under the vent assembly.

Remove vent assembly. Use putty knife to carefully pry loose the assembly.

Note: The vent assembly is held in place by two steel retainer clips located on each side of the assembly. Use your fingers to hold the clips in place as you remove tha assembly. Do not permit the clips to fall into the ducting. They are extremely difficult to retrieve and will cause rattling noise if left in the ducting.
