Installation of spacers between engine mounts and front axle cross member Mounting of lower section of fan shroud
If the fan contacts the fan shroud causing noise, the shroud mounting needs to be secured. To improve the fan/fan shroud mounting, we also recommend raising the engine mounts slightly using spacers.
REQUIRED PARTS:

SPACERS, INSTALLING
Remove engine splash guard
Loosen engine mounts on front axle cross member
- Unscrew nuts approximately 6 mm (1/4 in.)
NOTE: Do not remove nuts.
Lift engine slightly
Use two side attachments 5033, hook 5115 and cradle assembly 5006.
- Raise engine until engine mount contacts bottom of nuts.
Install spacers (P/N 3514110-0)
- Fit spacers between engine mount and front axle cross member.
Lower engine
Check position of spacers.
- Tighten engine mount nuts to:
15-25 N-m = 11-18 ft.lbs.
FAN SHROUD, SECURING
Fit fan shroud retaining clip.
- Attach clip to lower edge of fan shroud, between shroud and radiator frame. Lower part of frame should be at the same level as radiator frame. Make sure that fan shroud opening is round.
