THIS SERVICE MANAGER BULLETIN APPLIES TO U.S. AND CANADIAN DEALERS


Service Bulletin Group 23, No. 134 dated July, 1989 provided information for the proper fault tracing procedure for the LH 2.4 system for B230F engines. The allowance for this fault tracing is 1.7 hrs. and should be claimed with the appropriate repair via the flow chart.

Please use operation number 254424 for the fault tracing which includes the 15 minute test drive.

Additionally, Service Bulletin Group 23, No. 134 dated July, 1989 740 Series LH 2.4 Fault Tracing incorrectly identified the catalytic converter as part of this repair procedure when the oxygen sensor is to be replaced. Replacement of the catalyst is not required.

Please correct your Service Bulletin and advise your personnel in Warranty Administration of the change.
