THIS TSB HAS BEEN UPDATED BY TSB # 2321A, DATED 03/90.

Volvo Cars of North America is initiating a Service Action covering certain 1989 and 1990 model year 740 series vehicles fitted with the Bendix/Regina Ignition System to improve cold start performance.

In low ambient temperatures (below -5C or 23F) cold start difficulties may be experienced. This condition is caused by excessive fuel delivery during engine crank and cold start warm-up functions.

The corrective action will cover modification of the Bendix/Regina Ignition System.
