Ignition Rotor: Testing and Inspection

1. Check rotor for signs of corrosion or carbon tracking. Corrosion may be cleaned with 600 grit emery cloth. If carbon tracking exists, replace rotor.
2. Check rotor resistance. Resistance should be:

5 ± 1 K ohm.

3. If resistance is not within specifications, replace rotor.
