Drive gear to seat left side, change

NOTE: When performing the following tasks, take care that the seat guide rails do not alter their position relative to one another, or it will not be possible to replace the seat in the vehicle.

Remove:

Preparations
- Remove battery negative lead and note any radio code.
- Remove seat from vehicle. Remove Seat From Vehicle

Location
- Place seat on its left side, on a clean sheet.




Remove screws
- Remove the two screws and remove drive gear retaining clips. Lift it clear




Turn over drive gear
- Turn over drive gear.
- Remove the three crosshead screws.
- Strip drive gear.

Remove drive cable
- Remove drive cable and sheath for emergency operation of seat. NOTE: Sheath is not included on all models.


Replace:




Slacken off
- Slacken off crosshead screws on new drive gear.

Replacing drive cable
- Replace drive cable and sheath (if applicable) for emergency operation of seat.
- Tighten crosshead screws.

Check
- Check guide rail relative position.




Replacing drive gear
- Replace drive gear. Tighten with the two screws.
- Replace locking clip. Important!

Replacing seat
- Replace seat in vehicle. Remove Seat From Vehicle
- Replace battery negative lead.




Check
Seat without memory:
- Check function.

Seat with memory:
- Calibrate seat.
- Check function.
