Drive gear to seat right side, change

NOTE: When performing the following tasks, take care that the seat guide rails do not alter their position relative to one another, or it will not be possible to replace the seat in the vehicle.


Remove:

Preparations
- Remove battery negative lead and note any radio code.
- Remove seat from vehicle. Remove Seat From Vehicle

Location
- Lay seat on its right side, on a clean sheet.




Removal
- Remove brackets with the three motors. They are fixed with two screws on each side.
- Remove clips which hold carpet to rear edge of seat.
- Remove two outer drive gear retaining nuts.
- Remove the two screws and locking clip.

Removal of drive gear
- Slacken off drive gear from seat.




Removal of drive cables from gear
- Slacken off dnve gear locking-plate retaining screws.
- Remove drive cables from gear.


Replace:




Replacing
- Replace drive cables on gear.
- Replace locking-plates.

Check
- Check guide rail relative position.




Replacing
- Replace drive gear in seat. Tighten with the two screws and the two nuts.
- Replace locking-clip. Important!
- Replace carpet retaining clips at rear edge.
- Replace brackets with the three motors.
- Replace seat in vehicle. Remove Seat From Vehicle
- Replace battery negative lead




Check
Seat without memory:
- Check function.

Seat with memory:
- Calibrate seat.
- Check function.
