Although Volvo supports efforts to recycle and protect the environment, the use of recycled or reconditioned anti-freeze in our vehicles is not recommended as it may cause premature failure of the engine components.

Components affected by such products would not be subject to warranty consideration.

Volvo will monitor developments in antifreeze recycling technology and may provide additional information in the future as warranted by these developments.


Only new genuine Volvo antifreeze P/N 1381081-7 which meets our specifications may be used to perform warranty repairs.
