Inspection/replacement of ignition control unit

Remove knee bolster and reinforcing plate on driver's side. Check label attached to control unit.





Control unit marked S101529102C (or-D) must not be replaced.

If control unit marking is other than the above, replace with unit marked S101529102C (or-D), P/N 3507696-7.

Apply grease, P/N 1161417-9 into terminal sleeves of connector.


Important!
The control unit supply must be disconnected when removing or installing the unit, otherwise the unit may suffer damage.


Properly reinstall reinforcing plate and knee bolster.

Reconnect battery ground lead on completion of work.

Attach white label bearing text RE 92 to inside of fuel filler cover.


Clear fault codes (if any) in fuel and ignition control systems.

After test-driving car, display and correct new fault codes (if any) in fuel and ignition systems.
