Adequate eye and ear protection should be worn at all times when performing the following procedures.
The following procedure should be performed if vehicle is to be scrapped:
1. Turn ignition Off.
2. Lift front edge of seat pocket and push pocket rearward.
3. Remove safety device from holder inside pocket, Fig. 9, then attach device to sensor unit.
4. Remove sensor unit from seat.
5. Free firing cables from ties and clips.
6. Close front doors and windows.
7. Position sensor unit on floor behind front seat, Fig. 30.
8. Remove safety device from sensor unit.
9. Ensure no people, animals or objects are inside or around vehicle.
10. While standing outside vehicle, strike middle of sensor unit with a hammer, Fig. 31.
