Volvo Radio Removal Procedures

Over the years, Volvo has used several radios in their vehicles with various methods for removal. Below are the most common radio removal procedures.

Variation 1



1. Remove radio control knobs (four).
2. Undo catches by hooking them through small holes under control knobs.
3. Pull radio to remove.


Variation 2



1. Depress rectangular tabs near edge of radio. (They will pop up.)
2. Pull tabs to release catches and remove radio.


Variation 2



1. Using special tool, release catches.
2. Pull tool to remove radio.
