Engine Oil: Testing and Inspection

CHECKING ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Park car on level surface.
Wipe dipstick clean before checking.
Level should be within the hatched area on dipstick.
Difference between MAX and MIN is approx. 1 liter.

Engine Hot
- Wait at least 5 minutes after the engine has stopped to allow the oil to drain completely back to the sump.
- If level is at MIN, top up with max. 0.5 liter.

Engine Cold
- The most accurate check is obtained by dipping the oil with the engine cold before starting.
- If level is at MIN, top up with 1 litre.
