Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect position sensor wire connector.
2. Remove sensor retainer bolt from top of transmission bellhousing.

NOTE: Bolt is a Torx #30. To access the bolt head, use a long (24") 1/4 drive extension, universal socket, and T30 torx bit. A small amount of butyl tape on the bit will help keep the bolt in place.

3. Remove position sensor.
4. Re-install in reverse order.
5. Torque sensor retainer bolt to:

6 ± 1.5 ft. lbs. (8 ± 2 Nm)
