Bonding of Sheet Metal
BONDING OF SHEET METAL - TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVEPreparation:
Caution:
Grind surfaces to be bonded down to bare metal.
Primer must not be used in this case!
ADHESIVE CARTRIDGE:
Unscrew white nut on top of adhesive cartridge. Remove black protective sleeve and attach mixing tube instead. Tighten mixing tube with white nut.
Remove white plastic protective sleeve at bottom of cartridge and attach black applicator.
SEALANT SPRAY GUN:
Unscrew red ring from gun.
Insert adhesive cartridge with applicator and mixing tube in gun.
Fit bright adapter ring and secure with red ring.
ADJUST SPRAY GUN SETTING:
- Red handwheel: closed
- Blue handwheel: 3 - 8
SPRAY TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVE
Press trigger until adhesive emerges from mixing tube. Discharge about 10 cm (4) of adhesive onto paper to ensure that mixing is complete.
Apply suitable bead of adhesive onto surface to be bonded.
Apply panel to be bonded in place and fix in position. Allow to cure for specified time.
