Differential Assembly: Service Precautions

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Clean all joint mating surfaces, first mechanically and then with a solvent.
- Replace bolts and nuts in torqued joints as required. Clean and oil components if reusing.
- Always replace bolts and nuts in angle-tightened joints
- Following values should be maintained to an accuracy of ±5%

Note: 1 Nm = 0.7376 ft.lb.

NOTE: Before removing and/or disassembling rear axle components ensure to correctly mark the components using a marker or chalk (for example, driveshaft, wheels, etc). This will ensure correct installation and/or assembly of components. Do not use a sharp object to place alignment marks on components.
