Checking Ground Point [JA2]
Checking Ground Point
- Ignition off.
- Switch off any loads on the battery such as courtesy light and radio.
Connect an ohmmeter between #1 on test box and battery negative terminal.
Ohmmeter should read approx. 0 Ohms.
If reading is OK:
- Go back to fault-tracing where you left off.
If reading is incorrect:
- Check ground point 31/44 and lead between ground point and control module #1 for open circuit as per HA2 and contact resistance as per HA6. Checking Leads and Connections [HA]
- Check ground lead between battery and body for open circuit as per HA2and contact resistance as per HA6. Checking Leads and Connections [HA]
- Go back to fault-tracing where you left off.
