Diagnostic Test Mode 5
Diagnostic Test Mode 5Disengagement reason
The trouble code in diagnostic test mode 5 shows the most recent reason for disengagement.
Diagnostic test mode 5 may be used when the cruise control has been disengaged during test driving without the driver having done anything to a component of the system. The code remains in the memory until the ignition is turned off, or until the next time the cruise control disengages.
Note that the code may not be seen as a trouble code since a code is also stored after normal disengagement, such as after applying the brakes.
If cruise control was engaged and has operated during the road test, all input signals have been approved by the control module. If a spontaneous disengagement then occurs, the fault is often of an intermittent nature, which may make diagnostics more difficult.
NOTE! If the engine is turned off after the road test, trouble code 2-14 is always obtained even if there is no fault.
Trouble code Disengagement reason

1-4-1 Disengagement, gear selector switch
4-1-1 Disengagement, pedal valves, selector OFF
