Filling of Storage Container With Refrigerant From Unit

NOTE:
- Procedure for use only if several car A/C systems have been drained and no refilling has been carried out (i.e drainage unit is full of refrigerant).

- Use only approved gas bottles. Container (bottle ) must not be overfilled. Fill only to 80% of stated capacity to allow for thermal expansion of gas.








Filling Of Storage Container (Gas Bottle) From RHS 650
1. Connect yellow hose between high-pressure circuit (14) and storage bottle (25). Fitting supplied is suitable for most common refrigerant bottles. Remove angle fitting if using Volvo 920 grams (2.028 lb) bottle.
2. Connect unit to single-phase 220 V/50 Hz grounded supply.
- Set selector switch (7) to TEST.
- Connect hose (red or blue) to low-pressure circuit (13) with connection fitting closed.
- Valves (1), (2), (3) and (4) should be closed.
- Close main switch (11).
- Open valve (4) on unit and cock on gas bottle (25).
- Set selector switch (7) to CHARGING (filling). The cylinder will now be drained automatically to the storage bottle.
- Close cock on bottle (25) when drainage has been completed.
3. Drain hose:
- Close valve (4). Valve (3) should be closed.
- Open valves (1) and (2).
- Set selector switch (7) to RECOVERY. Hose will now be drained automatically.
- Wait until lamp (9) has gone out indicating that hose is clear of refrigerant.
4. Conclude filling operation:
- Close valves (1) and (2). Valves (3) and (4) should be closed.
- Set selector switch (7) to TEST.
- Close main switch (11).
