Airbag Deployment Procedure

In the event a airbag assembly has to be disposed of, it is recommended that the bag inflator be triggered without removing the system from the vehicle. Adequate eye protection should be worn at all times when conducting the following procedure:
1. Place vehicle outdoors, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Open all windows and doors.
3. Ensure bag assembly is firmly mounted to vehicle and there no loose debris around the unit.

4. Connect two wires, 20 ft long to one of the orange electrical connectors as shown in Fig. 12. or splice wires to brown and blue wires at the orange connector.
5. Working from 20 ft away, connect wires to terminals of a 12 volt power source to trigger the inflator. Ensure no one is around vehicle when bag in deployed.
6. If bag does does not deploy, disconnect wires from 12 volt power source. Using extreme care when checking wiring.
