Lubricating Oil
Automatic Transmission Fluid Type F

CAUTION:
^ Volvo synthetic transmission fluid P/N 1161 243 or Type F transmission fluid is recommended.

^ The different types of oil must not be mixed. Under no circumstance should Dexron II be used in these transmissions. By using Dexron II the first gear brake will not operate properly and/or result in noisy operation. On M46 transmission models, the overdrive unit may slip.
