CB1
Reading Light Diode:
Connection and Initiation
- Connect the selector lead to output 2 (MFI LH 2.4) of the DLC.
- Ignition on.
^ Continue with DTM 1 CB2 or DTM 2 CB5 or DTM3 CB6.
CB2
Diagnostic test mode (DTM) 1
- Press the button once (for about 1 second).
- Read off the LED flashes.
If code 1-1-i Is obtained:
There are no DTCs stored.
^ Continue with DTCs DI EZ 116 K CB4.
If another code is obtained:
- Make a note of the DTC
- Read off as before until the first code returns.
- Make a note of all DTCs.
^ Continue with Deleting DTCs CB3.
CB3
Deleting diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS)
DTCs can only be deleted when all DTCs have been displayed at least once.
- Press the button for about 5 seconds.
When the LED lights,
- Press the button for about 5 seconds.
The DTCs should now be deleted.
- Check that the DTCs have been deleted by pressing the button (for about 1 second).
If code 1-1-1 is obtained:
The DTCs have been deleted.
^ Continue with DTCs DI EZ 116 K CB4.
If another code is obtained:
^ Repeat Deleting DTCs CB3

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) DI EZ 116 K
Connect the selector lead to position 6 and read off the DI system DTCs in the same way as for the fuel system in CB2.
When both OBD systems have been read and deleted:
^ Return to A. How fault tracing is carried out. A. Fault Tracing Chart
CB5
Diagnostic test mode (DTM) 2
- Press the button twice (for about 1 second each time). The LED begins to flash rapidly when DTM 2 is activated.
Activate the sensor to be tested:
^ TP switch in full load position OK 3-3-3
^ TP switch in idle position OK 3-3-2
^ Engine speed signal from DI OK 3-3-1
^ A/C control on/off OK 1-1-4
^ A/C compressor start OK 1-3-4
^ Engine speed compensation for automatic
transmission OK 1-2-4
If the LED still flashes rapidly when the sensor has been activated:
^ The control module has not received a signal from the sensor.
Exit DTM 2
- Switch off the ignition.

Entering Control Function #3:
Diagnostic test mode (DTM) 3
- Press the button three times (for about 1 second each time). The control module activates the control components in the order indicated. Activation is carried out three times.
^ FC half speed
^ FC full speed
^ Injectors
^ IAC valve
^ The carbon filter solenoid valve
^ The cold start valve
- Listen to see if the component is activated.
If the component is not activated:
^ The component is not receiving a signal from the control module.
Exit DTM 3
- Switch off the ignition.
