Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

Adjusting the Throttle Position Switch
^ Start by turning the Throttle Position (TP) Switch clockwise as shown by the arrow (A) until it stops.
^ Then turn the TP switch counter-clockwise as shown in the illustration by the arrow (B) until a "click" is heard, and then continue to turn until it stops, but no further.
^ The throttle must not start to open, so hold it closed with a finger on the throttle disc. Keeping the TP switch in the position tighten the screws on the switch.

Checking
^ Open the throttle and check the gap between the throttle lever and adjustment screw with a feeler gauge.
^ With a 0.45 mm feeler gauge there should be no click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.
^ With a 0.15 mm feeler gauge there should be a click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.
^ Connect TP switch connector.
