Start Inhibitor Will Not Disengage

Car will not start

(Step K1) Checking starter motor




- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the alarm control module (item C/F).




- Bridge item 50E and item 50F on the alarm relay base.




- Start engine by turning ignition key to position III.
Starter motor should work.

If it does:
There is most likely a fault on the alarm control module.
- Carry out Tracing Alarm Wiring. Fault Tracing Alarm Wiring

If it does not work:
There is a break in the lead between the ignition lock item 50 and the starter motor.
- Investigate the starter motor electric system.
Replace the alarm control module.
