For a more detailed description of the crimping of cable terminals, see Service Manual 3(37) Wiring repairs and replacement of cable terminals 850, 900.

INSTALLATION OF CONNECTORS ON ACCESSORY CABLES

Strip the cable. Use a stripping tool that can be set for strip lengths and cable diameters.

The cable should be stripped a little further than the crimping section. Compare the crimping section with the cable terminal being used.

Crimp the cable terminal onto the cable. Use the correct crimping insert for the cable diameter.

Check the terminal crimping for

- 1. crimping wings
- 2. insulation support wings

Put the pin into the correct position in the pin housing (see page 2). The positions are marked on the locking lid.

Check that the cable terminal locking tab is locked into the pin housing.

Close the locking lid on the pin housing.

Position cables carefully with tie-straps when routing telephone and accessory cables, to ensure that cables are not subject to wear and do not cause noise.
