UA. Fault-tracing information






Condition

- DTCs not posted
- Normal battery voltage
- Charging system works
- Fault is permanent

Possible source

- Control module not connected or poor connection

Fault-tracing begins with UB. Check the connection to the control module.


UB. Check the connection to the control module

Check the connection to the control module

- Ignition off

Check that the control module connector is connected correctly to the control module and that the connector's bottoming is working

Check that the control module connector, plug and socket are not damaged

Is the control module connected correctly ?

Yes: Fault not found
No: UB2

Take appropriate action for the control module connection

Connect the control module

Then continue with: UB3

Verification

Hint: After repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified






- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connections, components etc.
- Ignition on

When the ignition is switched on, the ABS warning light is activated by the control module. Check that the warning light goes out after approx.2 seconds

Note! The warning light will not go out it a fault is registered in the control module

Does the warning light go out shortly after being activated?

Yes: Fault corrected
No: UB4

Fault-tracing information

The fault should now have been diagnosed and corrected. Since this is not the case the fault-tracing has failed.

Do you want to exit fault-tracing?

Yes: Fault not corrected
No: UB1
