Checking The Distributor Cap, Rotor And Ignition Cables
- Ignition off.
- Check the distributor cap, rotor and ignition cables for damage, cracks and flashover.
- Was a fault detected?

Yes:
^ Clean or if necessary replace components which may be damaged or faulty. Reinstall the distributor cap and rotor.
^ Then proceed to test step below.

No:
^ Operation done.





Spark Plugs
- Ignition off.
- Replace all the spark plugs.

NOTE: It is very important that the correct spark plugs are used, see replacement part catalogues for P/N. Check the spark gap of the new spark plugs before fitting them. The spark gap should be 0.7 - 0.8 mm.

- Reconnect all ignition cables.
- Continue with "Checking Fuel and Residual pressure"
