C17 Checking Signal Lead Switches

Switch ignition off.
Remove central locking relay D/G and driver's door relay N.




Lock driver's door using key.
Keep door key turned as far as it will go, at least 45°.




Connect an ohmmeter between position 31 and position LK on relay base G.
Ohmmeter should read approx. 0 Ohms.




Connect an ohmmeter between position 31 on relay base G and position ULK on relay base D.
Ohmmeter should read infinite resistance.




Unlock driver's door using key.
Keep door key turned as far as it will go, at least 45°.




Connect an ohmmeter between position 31 and position LK on relay base G.
Ohmmeter should read infinite resistance.




Connect an ohmmeter between position 31 on relay base G and position ULK on relay base D.
Ohmmeter should read approx. 0 Ohms

Repeat readings on passenger door.

If all readings are correct: Go to step C21. C21 Checking Signal Lead to Driver's Door Relay

If any reading is incorrect: Go to step C18. C18 Checking Operating Switches
