Displaying DTC's

Displaying DTCs
Each DTC consists of three digits, each indicated by a corresponding number of flashes. An interval occurs between each digit (series of flashes) before the next digit is displayed.

Example: DTC 231 Is indicated by 2 flashes - 3 flashes - 1 flash
Three different DTCs can be stored simultaneously in the memory.
DTCs are stored whether the fault is intermitent or permanent.

NOTE: The DTCs are erased when the ignition is switched off.

When the ignition is again switched on and a DTC request is made, only those DTCs in the memory at that time are displayed.

Thus, DTCs for intermittent faults can disappear when the ignition is switched off.

Only one DTC at a time is displayed on request. For this reason, several requests must be made to ensure that no DTC is missed.

If several DTCs are stored, they will be displayed repeatedly. For example:
3 DTCs:
DTC 1, DTC 2, DTC 3, DTC 1, DTC 2, etc.

2 DTCs:
DTC 1, DTC 2, DTC 1, DTC 2, etc.

1 DTC:
DTC 1, DTC 1, DTC 1, etc.
