Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Connecting The Volvo Scan Tool
- Ignition OFF.
- Install memory cassette.
- Connect the Volvo Scan Tool with cabling to the data link connector next to the parking brake.
- Ignition ON.
- Power up the Volvo Scan Tool.
- Select language, car, group of functions.
- Select system.
- Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST to read-off and erase diagnostic trouble codes, activate components/functions and reset adaptive functions.
- Select READ DTC to read diagnostic trouble codes, status, counters and frozen values.
- Select ERASE DTC to erase diagnostic trouble codes, counters and frozen values.
