DTC 1-5-1 and 1-5-2

DTC 1-5-1 AND 1-5-2. FAN SPEED SENSOR FAULTY CONTROL SIGNAL:








DTC 1-5-1 = Control signal from fan speed sensor missing or too high.
DTC 1-5-2 = Control signal from fan speed sensor GND short.

- Condition for DTC:
If signal from control module fan speed sensor is faulty, the control module records the fault and stores the DTC.

- Cause of fault:
Fault in control module fan speed switch. There may also be a fault in the control module internal wiring.

- Symptoms:
Fault warning to driver. LEDs by A/C and REC buttons flash for 20 sec. Control module ignores the faulty signal and substitutes a preset value of 8 V to the passenger compartment fan.
Internal fault in control module. Fault in control module fan speed switch or internal wiring.

Check DTC:





- Delete DTCs. Deleting DTCS
- Ignition off.
- Ignition on.
- Test ECC system. Test Procedures
- Check if DTC recurs, start test mode 1 and read out DTCs. Initializing Test Modes
