Repairing Scratches

Prepare the damage.





Start with 800 wet and dry paper.

Continue with 1000 wet and dry paper until the scratch has gone.

NOTE!
If the scratch is shallow do not rub through the varnish.

If the scratch does not disappear rub down the varnish:





Spray on a thin layer of varnish.

Allow the varnish to dry for 2-3 minutes.





Rub down.

Start with 1000 wet and dry paper.

Finish off with flour paper.

NOTE!
On surface scratches polishing compound should not be used when the veneer has been rubbed down with flour paper.

Apply polish to the rubbed down area.





Polish by hand or use a low speed polishing machine.

Remove the masking tape.
