Checking the wires
Check wire between coolant level guard 1 and engine control unit 8B for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault , a short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: The voltage should be 0 V in 1 and 2 with closed coolant level guard (lamp lights) and voltage should be 12 V in 1 with open circuit (lamp off).

Do the necessary corrective action.
