Checking the head restraint display (both screens)

Fault-tracing information
If neither display screen functions and the fault is not related to a certain function, for example when the auxiliary jack (AUX) or the TV are in use, the fault may be due to:

- Disconnected connector to the display screen
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Power supply
- Defective Rear Seat Entertainment Module (RSE).

Checking the settings
Check that the contrast is set correctly via the DISPLAY menu.
Check that the display screen has not been switched off via the remote control menu system SCREEN OFF.

Checking the power supply control module
Check that the fuses for the control module are intact and that power is supplied to the fusebox and ground terminal for the control module.

Hint: The control module is supplied with power via terminals #B1, #B4 and #B6. The control module is grounded via terminal #B12.

Checking the connector to the control module (neither display screens function)
Check that the connector between the control module and both display screens (terminal A) is connected. If the control module does not transmit picture signals from the DVD, TV or auxiliary jack (AUX), there is probably a fault in the control module.

If the surround lighting for the display screen does not function. Carry out the above checks on another cable. Check the power supply to the lighting. Check the cable between the control module terminal #A10/#A20 and the display screen terminal #10. In addition check the lighting ground supply, the cable between the control module terminal #A9/ #A19 and display screen terminal #9. (One for each display screen).
Remedy as necessary.
