Test Phases

Test phases
- REFERENCE PHASE1Reference phase for leaks of 0.5 mm and function test of the leak diagnostic unit is running. If any faults are detected during this phase the major leak test starts. If any faults are detected during the phase the test and the test result for the leak diagnostic unit will be " FAULT FOUND" with the fault type
- MAJOR LEAKLeak diagnosis for major leaks is in progress. If leakage is detected during this phase the minor leak test starts. If leakage is detected during this phase (the power consumption of the pump is equal to or lower than a desired value), the control module will run reference phase 2
- MINOR LEAKLeak diagnosis for minor leaks is in progress. If no leakage is detected during this phase the test stops and the test result for the fuel tank system will be "NO FAULT FOUND". If leakage is detected during this phase (the power consumption of the pump is equal to or lower than the power consumption during the reference phase), the control module will run reference phase 2
- REFERENCE PHASE 2The control module runs a second reference phase (the function of the leak diagnostic unit is checked) if leakage is detected during the leakage diagnostic phase (major leak or minor leak). When this phase is completed and if no fault is detected by the leak diagnostic unit, the test result for the fuel tank system will be "FAULT FOUND, MINOR LEAK" or "FAULT FOUND, MAJOR LEAK".
- NOT RUNNINGThe leak diagnostic is not running, the quick test of the fuel tank system has not started or has finished.
