Checking the wiring and connections
Check the wires between steering wheel angle sensor (SAS) control unit #3 (#A27) and steering wheel control unit (SWM) #5 (#A5) for a short circuit to voltage supply, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
