Battery, replacing

Preparatory work




Ignition off.

Warning! Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.




Fold up the floor hatch.
Unhook the strap.
Push the floor hatch and compartment to one side.

Removal





Remove:
- the nut securing the mounting bracket to the floor
- the screws holding the mounting bracket against the rear crossmember
- the mounting bracket
- the protective cover
- the drain hose (1) from the side of the battery
- the battery negative lead
- the battery positive lead.




Detach the battery mounting.
Remove the battery.

Installation

Install:
- the battery
- the battery mounting. Screw into place
- the battery positive lead. Screw into place
- the battery negative lead. Screw into place
- the drain hose on the side of the battery
- the protective cover
- the mounting bracket
- the screws holding the mounting bracket against the rear crossmember
- the nut securing the mounting bracket to the floor
- the floor compartment and hatch. Hook the strap into place. Close the hatch.
