Check relevant diagnostic trouble codes for the symptom Starter motor runs but engine does not start
Check if any of the following diagnostic trouble codes have been generated in the vehicle. These should be remedied first.
- Diagnostic trouble codes in Central Electronic Module (CEM) for CAN-H, high-speed network.
- Diagnostic trouble codes in Central Electronic Module (CEM) for CAN-L, high-speed network.
- Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the central electronic module (CEM) with reference to communication with other control modules.
- Diagnostic trouble codes in Engine Control Module (ECM).
Secondly, symptom tests shall be performed for the symptom: Cranking motor running but engine does not start
Other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the control modules are not relevant for this symptom.
