Checking components and wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector from the front left side impact sensor
- Disconnect the connector from the front right side impact sensor.
Check the resistance between terminals #8A (8) and #9C (5) in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) connector. The resistance must be infinite.
Check the resistance between terminals #9A (9) and #9C (5) in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) connector. The resistance must be infinite.
Check the resistance between terminals #8A (8) and #8C (4) in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) connector. The resistance must be infinite.
Check the resistance between terminals #9A (9) and #8C (4) in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) connector. The resistance must be infinite.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Connect the battery negative lead.
Warning! There must not be anyone inside the passenger compartment when the battery is connected.
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
The fault is no longer present if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status is intermittent.
