Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The Suspension Module (SUM) receives information about the vertical movement of the car body from three acceleration sensors mounted at the corners of the car body. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0053, SUM-0063 or SUM-0073 is stored if the control module registers that there is no signal from one of the acceleration sensors when the ignition is switched on.
- SUM-0053: Left front bodywork acceleration sensor
- SUM-0063: Right front bodywork acceleration sensor
- SUM-0073: Left rear bodywork acceleration sensor.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Substitute value
- Four-C control is switched off.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the ground lead
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Short-circuit between the signal cable and the power supply cable
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Defective acceleration sensor.

- General warning lamp lit
- Message in the display
- Four-C does not work.
